Faith A. Chipeleski, 74, of Drums, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 29, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, after a sudden illness Friday evening.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on Jan. 19, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Mikula Hawley, and spent the past 44 years in Drums after moving from Wilkes-Barre.

Faith was a 1960 graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was active with the reunion committee.

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked with her late husband, Tom, in the operation of his Burger King and Subway franchises in Northeast Pennsylvania. Most recently she assisted her son, Daryl, in his Subway franchises, and was instrumental in the operation of those businesses.

She was a member of St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, Sugarloaf Twp., and the Ladies Slovak Union, Wilkes-Barre.

She was active with the former West Hazleton High School Wrestling Booster Club, and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Her door was always open and she enjoyed being a mom to all of the kids in the neighborhood.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Thomas S. Chipeleski Sr., to whom she was married 50 years prior to his passing on Sept. 13, 2013; a daughter-in-law, Renee Chipeleski, on May 3, 2015; and her twin sister, Hope Napkora, on May 12, 2016.

Surviving are four children, Thomas S. Jr., Exeter; Kimberly Platek and her husband, Jeffrey, Sugarloaf Twp.; Daryl and his wife, Tara, Sugarloaf Twp.; and Tricia Marnell, Conyngham; seven grandchildren, Marianne, Jake, Colton, Mia, Gage, Crue and Blaze; a sister, Cathy Hoinski, Plains Twp.; a sister-in-law, Patricia Krajewski and her husband, Joseph, New Jersey; nieces and nephews, Loran, LoreAnn, Jospeh, Shawn and Jill Ann; her dog, Toby; and granddogs, Chase, Apollo and Annabelle.

Her funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, 573 state Route 93, Sugarloaf Twp.

Burial will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery.
