Norma Partlow peacefully passed away to be with her Lord, Jesus, on November 25, 2011. Norma is survived by her dearly loved husband, Carl Partlow, her brother, David Hodson and sister-in-law, Shirley, and family, and her four children, Stephen Dove (Debbie), Denice Gigoux, Kenneth Dove (Diana), Daniel Dove (Carol), and her daughter-in-law, Joy Partlow (predeceased by her step-son, James Partlow). She cherished her time with her 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Norma was born to Eleanor May and Joseph Hodson, in Hawthorne, CA, August 29, 1932, and lived in Southern California until 1966 at which time she moved to Sacramento. There she worked for the legislature as an Administrative Assistant to numerous Assembly members. She retired from the legislature in 1981, and spent the rest of her working career with California Cable Television Association working for the president of the association, Dennis Mangers.

Norma loved the outdoors and water whether it was a lake, a river or the ocean. She was an accomplished fisher woman and hunter and spent many happy hours traveling with her husband around the world.

She was a member of the Flairs, a retired Capitol employee group, and enjoyed many outings and card games with friends she made during her working years.

Norma's love of adventure, sense of humor, friendly nature and word and card game acumen were hallmarks of her personality.

There will be a Life Celebration Memorial for Norma at the Buggy Whip, 2737 Fulton Avenue, Sacramento, CA on January 7, 2012, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: Vita's Hospice, Sacramento Valley, 3841 N. Freeway Blvd., Suite 210, Sacramento, CA 95834.
