Zallee, Gennette 96 Jan. 11, 1919 Nov. 12, 2015 Gennette Amelia Zallee was born Jan. 11, 1919, in Portland, to Clyde and Ruth Graham. She died Nov. 12, 2015, in Portland, at the age of 96. She married Walter Fix and lived for several years in Gearhart. That marriage ended in divorce. She had one son, Joseph. In 1961, she married Valentine Zallee. Val and Gennette lived in Southeast Portland throughout their marriage. They were members of Montavilla Baptist Church. Val passed away in 2005. Gennette worked for the Charles F. Berg clothing store and First Interstate (Wells Fargo) as a telephone operator. Gennette is survived by her son, Joseph (Nancy) Fix; grandchildren, Melisa (Troy) Holman of Tenino, Wash., and Brian (Kim) Fix of Newman Lake, Wash.; six great-grandchildren; and stepchildren through her marriage to Val, Andrew Zallee, Kathy Crowley, Karen Crowley and Valentine Amand Zallee III. Special appreciation is extended to Daniela and Daniel Peia for the care extended to Gennette. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Montavilla Baptist Church, 9204 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd., Portland.
