OBITUARY
“Mrs. Martha Southard, 80, died yesterday (Sunday, 16 Jun 1974) in Mount Laurel Convalescent Hospital. Services will take place Wednesday (19 Jun) at 8:15 a.m. in the Rohm and Luchansky funeral home, 2189 Barnum Ave., Stratford, and at 9 o’clock in St. Ambrose church. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.

"Born in Waterbury, Mrs. Southard was a resident of the Bridgeport area for 77 years. Survivors are two sons, Elmer Southard of Stratford and Joseph Southard, Sr., of Leavenworth, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Provinzano of Milford; a sister, Mrs. [Julia Madelaine Vickers] Louis Thibault of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.” (BRIDGEPORT POST.
