Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lamar & Smith Funeral Chapel, for E. L. Charles, 52, who died at his home, 607 South Waverly, on Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery.

Born in Nashville, Tenn., Charles had been an automobile dealer in Dallas for 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a veteran of both World Wars.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eileen Mauney Charles; daughters, Mrs. Doris Allard, Miss Bettye Gene Charles and Miss Mary Lou Charles, all of Dallas; and a sister, Mrs. Lester High of Hopkinsville, Ky.
