Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Coziar will be conducted at 3 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Alan Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois. A visitation for Mrs. Coziar will be from 2 to 3 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Coziar was born September 10, 1927 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Peter Moussette and Dora Gannon Moussette. She was married May 14, 1949 to Darold Dean Coziar, who preceded her in death on January 31, 1997. She was most recently a resident of the Oakland Community. Mrs. Coziar was a homemaker throughout her life and took care of the elderly as long as health permitted. She was previously a member of 43 years at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Collinsville, Illinois where she taught in the nursery and preschool and sang in the choir. She was most recently a member of Oakland First Baptist Church. Mrs. Coziar enjoyed working on puzzles, discussing Bible scripture, watching birds and special times with her family.
