Mr. Kayser was employed as a salesman in specialty advertising. He had also worked in communications for the Illinois State Police at the Litchfield, retiring in 1983. He was a 1937 graduate of Litchfield High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. Survivors: wife, Betty; a son, Jeff (wife, Cathie) Kayser of Houston; a daughter, Cindy (husband, Chris) Sullivan of Elmhurst; and four grandchildren.
Remains were donated to science.
