A. Wayne Kayser, 79, of Litchfield died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Litchfield Terrace. He was born July 21, 1919, in Litchfield, the son of Albert Charles and Mary Lavinia Searles Kayser. He married Betty Jean Linxwiler in 1942 in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Kayser was employed as a salesman in specialty advertising. He had also worked in communications for the Illinois State Police at the Litchfield, retiring in 1983. He was a 1937 graduate of Litchfield High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. Survivors: wife, Betty; a son, Jeff (wife, Cathie) Kayser of Houston; a daughter, Cindy (husband, Chris) Sullivan of Elmhurst; and four grandchildren.

Remains were donated to science.
