Mrs. McClenney was born in Edenton. She retired from Compeco Cleaners after 40 years. She was a member of Wesley Union AME Zion Church and was the widow of Wheeler B. McClenney Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances P. Fisher, and two sons, Wheeler B. McClenney Jr. and Edward A. McClenney, all of Norfolk; a sister, Cornelius Harris of Edenton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Wesley Union AME Zion Church by the Rev. Carey Johnson Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The body will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Friends may join the family at the residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
