‎ ‎ ‎ TWIN FALLS —Joseph E. Brown, 75, Twin Falls, died Thursday, April 13, 1995, at his home.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was born May 20, 1919, in Pittsburg, Kan., the son of Merle Peavey and Edna Cox Brown. In 1935, he moved to Idaho from Colorado, and on July 3, 1939, he married Minnie Bender in Rupert.
‎ ‎ ‎ He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on a merchant ship in the South Pacific. He worked on highway construction.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was a past member of the Sheriff's Posse during the 60s and 70s, and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.
‎ ‎ ‎ Survivors include his wife, Minnie Brown, of Twin Falls; one daughter, Vicki Bingham of Carmen, Idaho; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
‎ ‎ ‎ The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, 1995, at White Mortuary in Twin Falls, with the Rev. Kendrick Gould officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, with military rites by Magic Valley area veterans and auxiliaries.
