Mrs. Edens was the daughter of the late Jesse and Jessie Bramble Justice and was also preceded in death by her husband, Pender I. Edens in 1959. She was a lifelong member of Barlow Vista Baptist Church and retired from Carolina Meat Processors of Holly Ridge. She was an avid gardener, growing her own vegetables and flowers for many years. Pallbearers will be Steve Justice, David Justice Jr., Mark Justice, Dave Batson, Dennis Blankenship and Russell Maley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Barlow Vista Baptist Church. Ida Madeline Edens died at her home at age 88.
