Irene R. (Martel) Grzyb, 90, died Monday, September 18, 2017 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge with family at her side. Her husband of 46 years, Henry "Hot Dog" Grzyb, died in 1995. She was born and raised in Webster, the daughter of Eugene P. and Rose Ann (Lemay) Martel and moved to Dudley when she married. She attended Bartlett High School. Mrs. Grzyb was a stitcher all her life. She worked at Webster Shoe, Bates Shoe and B & W Footwear before retiring in 1988. Her family was her treasure. She also enjoyed cooking, reading and shopping. She was a devoted Patriots and Red Sox fan. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 30, at 1:00 PM in the First Congregational Church of Dudley, Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster.
