Gail Whitney passed away peacefully in her home, October 18 at the age of 102. She was born on October 5, 1915 in Glens Falls, NY to Teressa and John Mulford. Gail Allen (stage name) was a dancer, singer and performer in her earlier years and taught art classes later in life. Gail moved to The Colony in 1998 and continued to be an active member of the colony community that she loved so much. Gail was preceded in death by her brother, John(Jack) Mulford, sister Katherine (Tina) Mulford. Her beloved husbands, Fletcher Hereford, Robert Whitney and beloved friend Thomas Burke. She is survived by her niece, Alexandra Sutherland, nephew John Mulford, cousins and many many friends and love ones. Funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Chapel, Cathedral City, CA on October 25 at 12pm. A celebration of life will be held at The Colony Clubhouse, Murrieta, CA on October 27 from 12pm-4pm. Services are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA.
