Mr. Rhodes was an executive of the Farm and Home Insurance Co. He came to Phoenix from Council Grove, Kan., in 1951.
He was active in Republican politics, and was legislative district chairman in northeast Phoenix for several years. He belonged to the Masons, was a member of the board of the First Congregational Church of Phoenix, and treasurer of an alumni chapter here of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Survivors are his wife, Nina; a daughter, Judy, at home; two sons, Robert Jr., of Denver, and David, at home; a sister, Mrs. Everett Johnson, Mesa; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be arranged by Mercer Mortuary.
