James Darrold Arnold was born on July 2, 1928 in Colony, Oklahoma to Elisha and Belvia Arnold and passed away peacefully on October 11, 2017 in Sacramento, California.

A longtime resident of Rancho Cordova, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ngaire; children Keith Arnold, Sharon Schauer, and Christine Peterson; grandchildren Dannika, Jennifer, Jillian, Shelby, and Erik; great grandchildren Brynn, Audrey, and Emma; and sister Arlene Chance.

Jim retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1966 as a medical technician and later from the U.S. Postal Service in Rancho Cordova.

He was active in golf, bowling, horseshoes, and darts, and was a big fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and Sacramento Kings. He enjoyed playing poker at the local casinos, but, most important of all, cherished his time with family.

Services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday November 7th 2017 at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA.

Arrangements were assisted by Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel, Rocklin, CA.
