Agnes M. Hearne .
Agnes M. Hearne died at her home on Crompond street on Friday of last week in her 34th year . She was born in Peekskill June 8, 1880, the daughter of Joseph J. and Catherine Donohue
Hearne . She was educated at Drum Hill School and at the Albany Normal College .
She began teaching school at White Plains in 1898. She was first assigned to the seventh grade of the Fisher avenue school, and later taught in the Court street school. When the new North White Plains school was completed she was placed In charge .
She taught school In Park street, this village , from September , 1911, to January, 1912, but then went back to White Plains, giving fifteen years of
service in that town . She intended returning this fall but failing health prevented.
She was held In high esteem by her fellow teachers and was one of the best on the White Plains faculties.
The deceased Is survived by two brothers, Edward and Patrick, and two sisters. Mrs. Wm. Ryan and Miss Catherine Hearne .
The funeral services were held from the Church of the Assumption at 10 a. m. on Monday, when a high mass was said for the repose of her soul.
