Carl A. Auwarter quietly passed Thursday, October 5th with his family by his side.
Carl was a police officer for the city of Philadelphia, where he had been born and raised. There he married his wife Suzanne, and together they raised their three children.
After retiring from the Philadelphia Police Department, he continued his career in law enforcement with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After which he and Suzanne retired to Berlin, Maryland. There he enjoyed boating, great evenings spent playing pinochle with his friends, and being a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Carl leaves behind his dear wife Suzanne (nee MacAllister), and their three children Carl (Diane), Jason and Rachel. The proud and loving grandfather of Olivia, Alyssa and Emma. He is also survived by his siblings Mary and Robert and nephew Todd, niece Dr. Kristen Auwarter and the late nephew Glen Damis.
Funeral Services for Carl will begin 11:00 AM, Thursday October 9th at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home 9529 Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia. His viewing will begin at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley, PA
