FORT WORTH - Merle A. Halyard, 96, a loving and loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, in Euless, Texas.
Merle was a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Fort Worth. She had various jobs, but her passion was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Merle was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Loyd D. Halyard; parents, Joe H. Ascue, Sr. and Nannie M. Ascue; brother, Joe H. Ascue, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Marcella D. Ascue.
Survivors: Sons, Richard J. Halyard and D. Michael Halyard and wife, Catherine; grandsons, Jason M. Halyard and wife, Mandy and Justin A. Halyard; great-grandson, Jason M. Halyard, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Mollie Halyard.
