Mrs. Stubblefield was born June 10, 1927 in Hazel, Kentucky to the late Macon Millington White and Amie Brandon White. She was also preceded in by her husband, Charles Lock Stubblefield, sister, Oneta White Morris; and a daughter in law, Gina Crabtree Stubblefield; brothers and sisters in law, Brent Morris, Billy Joe Stubblefield, Jimmie Lee Gingles Stubblefield, Dyrus Stubblefield, Mildred Stubblefield, M.W. (Dub) Henry, Morelle Stubblefield Henry, Cassel Garrison, Altie Stubblefield Garrison, Starkie Hall, and Laurene Stubblefield Hall; nieces and nephew, Sheila Garrison Hutchens, Gail Morris Wright, and Krit Stubblefield.
She was a life long member of the Green Plain Church of Christ and attended Hazel High School where she graduated salutatorian of the class of 1945. She spoke fondly of her classmates and enjoyed their reunions and get togethers.
After she married her husband of 62 years they made their home in the Cherry Corner community surrounded by Stubblefield relatives, then moved to Sunset Drive in Murray in 1960. They enjoyed their life with relatives, neighbors, Tappan families, and church family.
She is survived by two sons, Kenny Stubblefield (Gail), Murray, and Van Stubblefield, Murray; three grandchildren, Mark Stubblefield (Shelley), Adam Stubblefield, and Lucas Stubblefield; nieces and nephews including, Brent Morris, Jr., Phil Morris, Kathy Jo Stubblefield, Dorothy Henry Cook, Max Henry, Linda Henry Cole, Gracie Garrison Holland, Reba Garrison King, Cindy Garrison Cleaver, Owen Garrison, Bobby Hall, J. W. Hall, and Donna Hall Fair.
The funeral service will be at 11:00am Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with Mike Ernstberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Plain Cemetery and friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Mark Stubblefield, Adam Stubblefield, Lucas Stubblefield, Jason Wright, Matthew Morris, and Micah Morris.
