Betty Jean Clark (née Erickson) died peacefully in O’Fallon, Missouri on October 15, 2017 at the age of 94.

Betty is survived by her children, Jim Clark of St. Charles, Missouri and Connie Clark Champ of Boulder, Colorado; grandchildren Julie Stevenson, Jon Champ, Katie Crittenden, Chris Champ, James Champ, and Tim Champ, as well as eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Marvin N. Clark, and brother Gordon Erickson.

Betty was born on July 14, 1923 in Bend, Oregon to Arthur Erickson and Irene Urban Erickson in her parent’s house at 404 Federal Street. She graduated from Bend High in 1941, married Marvin N. Clark in 1942, and had their children, Jim in 1945 and Connie in 1947. She lived in Oregon until 1956 when she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, and moved back to Bend in 1988. She spent the last three years living in Missouri with her son. Her family was the focus of her life.

A service will be held for her family at Baue Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, Missouri on the afternoon of October 21, 2017, and she will then be moved to the mausoleum in Deschutes Memorial Gardens where she will be interred next to her husband and near her other family.
