She was treasurer of Scott county King's Daughters; a representative of Church Women United; grand treasurer of Pythian Sisters of Iowa; a member and past chief, Temple 237 Pythian Sisters, Davenport and librarian of Schott CO Genealogical Society.
Survivors include her husband; daughters Pamela Cox, Mrs Richard (Cynthia) Cook, and Sherilyn (Richard West)Glines and a son James all of Davenport, seven grandchildren, a sister, Mrs Dale (Nadean) Boege, Eldridge, brothers LaVern Appleby Davenport and Donald Appleby Wichita Kansas
