Diana Mae (Mattox) Haltom, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Oct. 18, 2017. Diane was born May 14, 1945, to Chet and Betty (Smeja) Mattox, in Riverside Calif.

She grew up in Fontanet in her parent's funeral home. She attended Fontanet School, and graduated from Rosedale and earned her Associate Degree in radiology.

Diane was owner and operator of Diana's Flower and Gift Shoppe in North Terre Haute for over 35 years. Prior to the opening of the Flower Shoppe, she was employed by Anaconda/Alcan Aluminum for many years. She was a member of the German Oberlandlers Club, Indiana State Floral Association, F.A.C.T Auxiliary, Downtown Lions Club, and a member of Higher Ground Christian Center, where she devoted a great deal of time to the youth program.

Diane loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She loved life and had many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Haltom; and two brothers, John and Joe Mattox.

She is survived by one daughter, Shala and husband Paul Ingle; two grandchildren, Makenzie Smokstad and Dylan Ingle; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
