María Sinforosa Domínguez y Ybáñez was born at the Presidio of San Diego, Alta California, where she was baptized in the Presidio Chapel on July 21, 1815 (SD Baptism 04232). She was the daughter of sargento José Cristobal Domínguez and María de los Reyes Ybáñez. She died at the San Diego Presidio and was buried in the presidio cemetery June 13, 1820 (SD Death 02963).
