She passed away December 27 at her home following an extended illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Ashburn, and her parents, O.C. and Sarah Dunn Carr.
A native of DeKalb County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Smithville Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Reba Ashburn of Smithville; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Peggy) Richardson of Culleoka, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Leo (Zora) Ashburn of Smithville, 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren also survive.
Pall bearers were: Ronald Ashburn, Lyndon Ashburn, Logan Richardson, Clay Farler, Mark Ashburn, and Grant Ashburn.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithville was in charge of arrangements.
