Funeral services for Ollie Carr Ashburn, 91, of Smithville, were held December 29 at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home Chapel in Smithville. Russell Watson officiated and burial followed in Burton-Ponder Cemetery.

She passed away December 27 at her home following an extended illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Ashburn, and her parents, O.C. and Sarah Dunn Carr.
A native of DeKalb County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Smithville Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Reba Ashburn of Smithville; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Peggy) Richardson of Culleoka, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Leo (Zora) Ashburn of Smithville, 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren also survive.
Pall bearers were: Ronald Ashburn, Lyndon Ashburn, Logan Richardson, Clay Farler, Mark Ashburn, and Grant Ashburn.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithville was in charge of arrangements.
