Mrs. Shirley Rose Smith age 79 of McDonough passed away October 15, 2017. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, and was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Chester Smith. Surviving are her children: Reba S. Terrell and husband Larry of Covington, John A. Smith and wife Kristie of Jonesboro and Tina R. Miller of McDonough, sister: Melanie Wood of Suwanee, grandchildren: Sonya Terrell, Zachariah and Amy Terrell, Cynthia and Sharif Judd, Samantha Smith and Kyle Smith, great-grandchildren: Faith Elizabeth Terrell and James Raymond Terrell, and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 2560 Hwy 138, Jonesboro, GA 30236
