James was born in Erie, Pa., he was the son of James P. Carey Sr. and Elizabeth Fargo.
He was an Assistant Engineer for IT Research.
He was an Air Force Veteran and served as a Chief Master Sergeant for over 28 years.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years; Mary Ann Carey and his parents.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 20th 2017 at the Saratoga National Cemetery on 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville, N.Y.
