Carol L. Chaney, 94, of Watseka passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.
Carol was born March 12, 1923 in Wellington, the daughter of Van and Dorothy Galloway Benbow. She married Richard Howard Chaney on January 7, 1945 in Wellington and he passed away on May 12, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Donna) Chaney of Watseka and Patrick (Diane) Chaney of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Daniel (Tiffany) Chaney of Taylorsville, KY, David (Nicole) Chaney of Richmond, KY, Lori (Frank) Janello of Normal, IL, and Brian (Sarah) Chaney of Watseka; and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Chaney was a member of Wellington United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
