FRANK GRANT DIES AT 72

Frank A. Grant, 72, 1836 South Lincoln, died Sunday night at a local hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Frank Arthur Grant was born March 2, 1893, at Dorchester to Andrew J. and Lilla M. Grant. He served in the Army from 1917 to 1919.
He returned to Dorchester following his discharge and married Ferris Brady at Wilbur on August 3, 1920. The family farmed for five years near Dorchester, moving to Grand Island in 1926. He was employed by the Payne Monument Company for 18 and a half years. During World War II he was a superintendent in the storage department at the Hastings Ammunition Depot, retiring in 1957 due to poor health.
From late 1960 to 1963 the family lived in Texas, returning to Grand Island in 1963.
He was a member of the Americasn Legion Post. 53 and World War I Veterans.
Survivors include his widow, Ferris; two sons, Leslie F., Garden Grove, Calif., and Theodore H., Grand Island, one sister, Mrs. Leota Wilterding, Muleshoe, Texas and 8 half-brothers and sisters.
