Kathleen Kelleher Scalzo, age 68, of Toledo, passed away peacefully in the care of hospice surrounded by her family on October, 12, 2017.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York to John and Rosemary (O’Donnell) Kelleher on March 22, 1949. She married the love of her life, Joseph Scalzo, Jr., on August 25, 1973 and together they raised three children. Kathy spent her career as a Medical Assistant at the Northwest Ohio Plastic Surgeons / Arrowhead Plastic Surgeons for over 25 years followed by part time work with the Meijer Corporation. She enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with her husband of 43 years and friends but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; father, John; sister and brother, Rosemary Albery and Michael Kelleher. She is survived by her mother, Rosemary Kelleher; daughters Krista (Beth) Scalzo, Erinn (Brad) Venia; Son, Joey (Katy) Scalzo; grandchildren, Keegan, Kenna, Kayleigh, Ellie, and Diana; siblings, John (Cindy) Kelleher, Kevin (Lesa) Kelleher, Bob (Patti) Kelleher, David (Terri) Kelleher, Mary (Doug) Arnold and Kristin (Kevin) Kelleher-Wong and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Sunday, October 15th from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
