Carol Hammond Furr, age 76, of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2017 with her family by her side.

She was born on November 8, 1940, daughter of the late
Will and Hope Belk Hammond

Carol was preceded in death by her brothers:
Franklin Eugene Hammond (1930–1965)
William A Hammond (1933–2005)

Sisters:
Shirley Ann Hammond Dean (1935-2015)
Peggy Joefreda Hammond Victory (1939–1988)
Brenda Hammond Manus (1942–2009)

She is survived by her loving husband,
Coy M. Furr

Daughters:
Marilyn Crot and fiancé Jim
Carolyn Taylor and husband Jamie

Grandchildren:
Monica and fiancé Charles, Chris and wife Suzie, Ricky, Dalton, Lauren and Sarah Beth

Great grandchild, Braxton

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe.

A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held 2:00pm Thursday, October 12, 2017 in McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.

The family would like to thank everyone who showed their love and support during Mom's illness.
