Funeral Services To Be Held Fri. For Mr. McCravey
Funeral services for John Roy McCravey, 76, who died Wednesday in Hall County Hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Travis Baptist Church with the Rev. James Henry, pastor officiating.
Graveside rites will be held at 3 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Floyd County. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery with services under the directon [sic] of Spicer Funeral Home.
Mr. McCravey was born Dec. 7, 1891, in Jasper, Ga. He was united in marriage to Nola Fulton Feb. 1924 at Cleburne. The family moved to Estelline from Floydada in 1943. They had lived in Memphis since 1956.
Mr. McCravey was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I where he served in the infantry.
He was a member of the Lakeview Community Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home; a step-son, Rudolph McCarty of Floydada; two sons, Leon and Leonard, both of Memphis; one daughter, Mrs. F.E. Miller of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. E.E. Slaughter of Plainview and Mrs. John West of Floydada; three brothers, Luther of Taft, Calif., Arthur and R.B., both of Floydada, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
