Obituary for Patricia Anne Humphreys
Patricia Anne Humphreys, Age 77, of Albia, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2017 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia, Iowa under Hospice care.

Patricia was born on June 23, 1940 in Eddyville, Iowa to Joseph and Ethel (Frazier) McDonough. She attended school in Eddyville. On July 3, 1956 she was united in marriage to Arthur Humphreys Sr. They spent 38 years of marriage together until Arthurs passing on June 19, 1995.

Patricia was a homemaker her entire life. In her younger years she was very active in the Minooka United Methodist Church in Illinois where she taught Sunday School and was involved in other church activities. She enjoyed reading her bible and going on walks.

She is survived by her son, Arthur Jr. (Susan) Humphreys; 2 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ethel, 2 children in infancy, Cindy and James and 7 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Tharp Funeral Home in Albia with Patricia’s family present throughout the day to greet family and friends.

An open memorial has been established in Patricia’s name.
