Anna Belle Holliday, 83, died at 1:56 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.

She was born in Nutwood on Jan. 14, 1934, and was one of three children born of the late Lester R. and Mildred (Andrews) Ontis.

Anna Belle worked as an instructor for Beverly Farms in Godfrey for many years, and her life was centered solely around her family and her church. She was loyal and devoted to both, and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.

Surviving are two daughters, Vicky Taylor of Watts, Oklahoma, and Pennie Steele of Jerseyville; four sons and daughters- in-law, Lester and Robin Bierman of Jerseyville, Eric and Judy Bierman of Medora, Dennis and Shelly Bierman of Jerseyville, and Patrick Bierman of Jerseyville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Johnson of Jerseyville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Bierman on April 7, 1990, a son, John Paul Bierman, on May 17, 2017; a brother, Phillip Ontis; and a son-in-law, John Taylor.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Gospel Assembly Church in Jerseyville.

She will be laid to rest in the Rosedale Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Gospel Assembly Church in Jerseyville.
