Aaron A. Amspacher, 75, formerly of Shrewsbury Township, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the York Hospital.

Aaron was born on April 2, 1942, in Hanover, a son of the late Amos G. and Kathryn M. (Henry) Amspacher.

He graduated in 1960 from Susquehannock High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in Korea.

He worked at Memorial Hospital in the maintenance department for many years and for the Commonwealth of PA, as a greeter at the welcome center on I-83 near Shrewsbury.

He was a lifelong farmer in the Shrewsbury Township area and was a member of New Hope "Fissels" United Church of Christ, Glen Rock, the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403, and the Prince Athletic Association.

He also was an avid bowler for many years at Lincoln Way and Bob's Bowlerama.

He is survived by three sisters, Arville M. Roser (Ken) of New Oxford, Irene P. Bricker (Wayne) of Seven Valleys, and Lillian K. Wagner (J. Pat) of York; sister-in-law, Christine Ballard Amspacher of Spring Grove; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a nephew, Curtis Kerchner; and by his brother, Rayvourne "Ray" E. Amspacher.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017, at New Hope Fissel's UCC Church, 3426 Fissel's Church Road, Glen Rock.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
