BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Ilean Atkinson Panter, 69, passed away from colon cancer on Monday, 02 October 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on 01 August 1948 in Woods Cross, Utah, to Roy Everett and Mary Louise Anderson Atkinson. Her father passed away unexpectedly when she was 7. Her mother raised Ilean and her five siblings on her own. Ilean graduated from Middleton High School, Ricks College and Brigham Young University. She married her sweetheart Eddie Dean Panter in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on 24 May 1969. Ilean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a member of the Brigham City 10th Ward where she served in various callings. Ilean and Eddie were called to be ordinance workers in the Brigham City LDS Temple and served together for three years. She was the manager of Beehive Clothing and the Distribution Center in Brigham City where she retired in 2012 after serving the people of Brigham City for 26 years. Ilean loved being a member of the Brigham City Ladies Community Club, where she served twice as president. She enjoyed singing in several community and church choirs, sewing, crocheting, doing family history and working in her “Beehive Garden”. Surviving is her husband, Eddie; six children, Gina (Dominic) DeSantis; Kristin (Mark) Ellis; Tami (Todd) Crook; Jake (Jaylynn) Panter; Chad (Vai) Panter; Brett Panter; 18 grandchildren; four siblings, Jim (Elaine) Atkinson; Elrain (Larry) Thompson; Cathy (Larry) Schiers; Floyd (RaeNell) Atkinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Glen Atkinson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 07 October 2017 at 12 Noon at the Brigham City LDS 10th Ward, 145 West 500 South, Brigham City. Viewings will be held on Friday, 06 October 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Grace Cemetery, Grace, Idaho. Funeral services entrusted to Gillies Funeral Chapel, Brigham City
