Mr. Franks was born Aug. 16, 1905, in Mercer County, the son of Cyrus and Rosetta Burke Franks. He married Jean Ann Barton. He then married Emeline Ruth Galloway Anderson Sept. 13, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Dec. 10, 1978.
He farmed Southwest of Aledo.
He was a member of Mercer County Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
