Mr. Henderson died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005.
A life-long resident of Plainview, he was born Nov. 9, 1919, in Hale Center to James M. and Ella D. Moore Henderson.
Mr. Henderson served in the Army medical corps during World War II.
He married Doris Ann Armstrong on Feb. 6, 1948, in Meadow. They moved to Plainview after they married. He worked as a carpenter until he retired.
Mr. Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Allan and wife Beverly Henderson of San Angelo and Ted Henderson of Hemet, Calif.; two brothers, Edell Henderson of Denison and Gene Henderson of Lewisville; three sisters, Evalene McDonald of Plainview, Inez Hill of Wichita, Kan., and Jessie Stanton of Culver, Calif.; and three granddaughters.
The family suggests memorials to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1984, Plainview, TX 79072 or First Baptist Church Building Fund, 205 W. Eighth, Plainview, TX 79072.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
