Fort Bend Herald, October 3, 2017:

A.C. Oliver Hanly, 86, of Damon, Texas, passed away on September 30, 2017. A.C. was born in Rosenberg, Texas on May 3, 1931 to Charles and Emma Hanly. He married Dorothy Reagan in 1975 and celebrated 34 years of marriage before her passing in 2009. He served in the military and was a rancher in Brazoria County for many years. He and Dorothy were also part owners of the Red Barn BBQ in Needville, Texas for years.

A.C. was an avid hunter right up to the last year. He enjoyed the deer lease and spending time with all of his hunting buddies.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Dorothy; her grandson, Marcus; his sister, Grace Hanly as well as his nephews, Glenn Runnels Jr., Jeff Runnels and Mark McClendon.

He is survived by his brother, Charlie Lee Hanly and his wife Bobbie; sister, Ella Mae McClendon; and numerous nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with burial & military honors to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
