Hildreth M. Pastern, 88, Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2001. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to St. Jude's Hospital or City Union Mission.

Mrs. Pastern was born April 10, 1912, in Dallas County, MO. She resided in Kansas City all of her adult life. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of North Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pastern, granddaughter, Lynnette Wright, brothers, Frank and Arthur Baker, and sister, Rachel Leclere. She is survived by her daughters, June Wright & husband Allen, and Sue Kneuven & husband Larry, all of Gladstone, MO; grandchildren, Martin Wright & wife Nancy, Jeannette Lathrop & husband Kenny, Tracy Manges, Stephanie Hummel & husband Dennis, and Larry Kneuven II; nine greatgrandchildren, Nathan, Justin, & Nichole Wright, Karin & Jill Lathrop, Kaleb, Kole, & Keaton Hummel, and Ben Kneuven; two sisters, Ocie Green and Wilma Jones; two brothers, David Baker and Paul Baker; and a host of other family and friends.
