A pioneer resident of Hood River, James Lester Wickham, passed away on Oct. 11. Funeral services will be held at the Anderson Funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Paul Walker will officiate and interment will be in the Idlewilde Cemetery.
Mr. Wickham is survived by five daughters: Iola Eastman, Hood River, Nelle Griffith, Portland, Ora Lee Meyer, Hood River, Marie Smith, Portland, and Edith Bingham of Spokane. One sister, Mrs. Mary Nelson, Hood River, 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr. Wickham was born Sept. 8, 1886 at Echo, Ore., and came to Hood River 71 years ago. He was a retired electrical engineer for the Bonneville Power Administration, a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion.
