Benton - Adam Eugene LeGrand, 93 years old, of Benton died Saturday at the Missouri Veteran's Home.
He was born Nov. 25, 1905, at Benton, the son of Anton and Susan Essner LeGrand. He and Lorena Christine Scherer were married Nov. 20, 1934, at Benton. She died Oct. 25, 1977.
He was a self-employed building contractor, a member of the St. Denis Catholic Church at Benton and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by seven sons, A.J. "Tony", Monroe, Walter L., Ralph V., Robert C., Vernon C. and David C. LeGrand; a daughter, Irene Elfrink; 27 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, seven brothers, a sister and a grandson.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at St. Denis Church. Burial will be in the St. Denis Cemetery.
