Mrs. Frances L. Roberson, 89, died Wednesday (December 24, 2003) at the Satilla Regional Medical Centers after an lengthy illness.

She was a native of Fitzgerald and lived in Hortense for fifteen years before moving to Waycross in 1984. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Wesleyan Methodist (Sawgrass) Church in Hortense.

She was daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garris of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Edwards and a daughter Sue Anne Willis.

She is survived by her husband, Dorsey Edwin Roberson of Waycross; a daughter, Alice Shanholtzer of Kiamath Falls, OR; a son, Thomas Edwin Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; a step-daughter, Linda Branch of Hortense; a step-son, Eddie Roberson of Waycross; five grandchildren, Angle Shanholtzer, Monte Shanholtzer, Blake Willis, Benny Willis and Sandra Willis; one great grandchild; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Herrington of Crescent City, FL.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday (December 28, 2003) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
