Aproximate years of marriage: 1850- 1853. Local Cemetery department will tell you his middle name is Erwin. However, I had contacted the Williamstown cemetery department as of Dec 2018 and I had requested that a correction to be made. My wish was granted - now state and local records match with cemetery records. I think the now defunct Hopkins funeral home had made a booboo with his name. His daughter Eugenia was informant for her father's death certificate. Meanwhile, some records say that George was born in Stephenstown NY. Other records say Cooperstown NY. Regardless, 1850 census for Williamstown MA, shows that he had moved with his parents and siblings around 1849 (because his 2nd youngest brother Dallas was born in Massachusetts- the youngest brother was Francis. Both Dallas and Frances were the only siblings that were born in Massachusetts. ) They had moved from NY - most likely Stephenstown NY. Fast forward to 1916, George had passes away from heart failure and disease( says 10 year illness prior to death) His eldest daughter Eugenia took care of him.
