It is with great sadness that the family of Michael R.L. Lucero, born on August 5, 1954 in Santa Fe, announces his passing on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Banner University Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Michael was preceded in death by his Parents: Pantaleon and Marian Herrera Lucero; Brothers: Ronnie Mark Lucero and Rudy Herrera.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his Wife: Karla of 17 years, his Children: Patricia Peterson (Kevin), Tanya Edmonds; Son: Michael Lucero Jr. (Melanie); and his Step-Children: Nicolas, Brandon (Maryann), Kira, Trisha and Erica Garfias; Michael will also be forever remembered by all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his Sisters: Virginia Lucero (Steve), Caroline Montoya (Louie); and by his Brothers: Frank Lucero (Cindy) and Larry Lucero (Lisa), and by all his nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Michael graduated from Santa Fe High School. He also graduated from the New Mexico Army National Guard Military Academy and went on to serve in the National Guard. Michael loved camping, fishing and football. Michael was a kind and gentle soul. He will be greatly missed by all.

Viewing will be at Berandinelli's on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 11 AM to 12 PM. Burial will be at Rosario Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Danny Valdez, Jason Lucero, Antonio Lucero, Paul Narvaiz and Pat Narvaiz.
