Son of Peter and Mary Jane BUSHMAN WEAVER
Jacob Ross Weaver, 62, 408 York Street, who for 14 years was the tenant farmer on the Oyler and Spangler farm east of Gettysburg, died at the Warner hospital here this morning at 5:30 of complication of diseases. He had been seriously ill for the past two weeks. He retired form the Oyler farm last April because of ill health.
Born in Adams County, he was a son of Peter and Mary Weaver and lived his entire life in this section, always being engaged in farming.
He is survived by his widow, who before marriage was Miss Mary Stoops, and the following children; Mrs. Raymond Kane, York; Walter Weaver, Altoona; Mrs. Cloyd Shetter, Gettysburg, and Charles, Clara, Iva and Dorothy all at home.
The following brothers and sisters also survive; Mrs. Margaret Eshelman, Illinois; Mrs. Annie Fritz, Arendtsville; Mrs. Luella Wills, Charlemagne; Mrs. Emma Flenner, Emmitsburg;
Mrs. Catherine Weikert, Gettysburg, and Mrs. Nettie Selix, Gettysburg.
Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 3:30 from the Bender funeral home, Carlisle Street, the
Rev. Howard S Fox, Reformed church pastor, officiating. Interment in the Fairfield cemetery.
