Phillip Solomon Edgell, 85, of Waverly, WV passed away September 23, 2017 at his residence.

Phillip was born in Reader, WV, August 26, 1932, a son of the late James D. and Hazel V. Chaplin Edgell.

He was a Korean War Veteran, he was a machinist by trade. His greatest passion in life was hunting and trapping. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

Phillip is survived by his daughter; Alora Headlee (Harold "Pete") of Waverly;one son, Larry Edgell (Teri) of Greenville, Tenn; grandchildren, Denise Headlee, Derek Headlee, Justyn Headlee, Dustin Edgell, Darrin Edgell, Josh Edgell, and Daniel Edgell, great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Colton, River, Lily, Cambria, Alora, Sierra, Beau, Dean, Claudia, two sisters, Janie Tennant of Reader, WV and special sister, Faye Bonder of Youngstown, Ohio and his beloved dog Nikki.

In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Barbara Ann Brown Edgell, his son, Lt. David Brent Edgell, his late wife Frances Lanham Edgell, seven brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, WV. American Legion Post #15 will begin the service with military honors, followed by Pastor Don Yeager officiating the services.

Burial will be at the Paden Memorial Gardens near Wetzel County, WV.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
