+ "Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on.

+ Cherished memories will never fade, because one loved is gone.

+ Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there is a memory, they live with in our heart."+

September 18, 1939 - March 16, 2007

~ " When tomorrow starts without me...don't think we're far apart...For every time you think of me...I'm right here in your heart." ~

* As the sister, and only sister, of "Bill", I can always hold within my heart, the most wonderful memory of all, of my brother, Bill...as he once told me..and with it being only about a year before his passing, he said, "Tootsie, you have THREE good children." To me..this is the most wonderful Gift, my brother, could have ever left me and I can cherish it within my heart forever..with knowing..no one, can ever..take it away from me.

+ Mr. Billy Reid Barber, 67, of Marion, N.C., passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007, at his residence.

"Bill" was born in McDowell County, N.C., the son of Maggie Isaacs Barber, of Marion, and the late Melvin Reid Barber.

Billy Reid Barber, attended and graduated school, at Glenwood Elementary & High School, Glenwood, McDowell County, North Carolina.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, with receiving his basic training at Parris Island, S.C.; then with being stationed at bases, as Camp Lejune, N.C., Cherry Point, and with also, being stationed in Japan, for several months, before receiving his Honorable Discharge, from the U.S.M.C.

He was also a former Highway Patrol, for the state of N.C.

"Bill" had lived previously, for 18 years at Tampa, Florida, before moving back, in 1990, to the vicinity of his residence, at the time of his passing. He had moved to Central Florida in 1972, where he later met, and then married, his lovely wife, "Irene", near Tampa, on December 18, 1981.

+ Weep Not...

Weep not for me though I am gone,
Into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long,
Upon my soul's sweet flight.

I am at peace, my soul's at rest,
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years.

There is no pain, I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts,
In your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath,
Remember not the strife,
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my life.

* A note as adding on this 29th day of May, 2008, I was just viewing photos and came upon one that was of Bill, my youngest son, and myself, with the photo being taken at Bill and Irene's Marriage, in 1981. I happened to notice something that I had never noticed before, with all the many, many times of viewing this photo, I had never noticed this, until at this time, I took notice that Bill was holding my hand, as placed over my hand, as he had his arm around my son. My thoughts being..even though Bill has now passed..this was a reminder to me, that Bill through it all, is still with me, and will always be...within my heart forever.

+ "When tomorrow starts without me...don't think we're far apart...For every time you think of me...I'm right here in your heart". *Thank you, Bill, I do know... and can know...by feeling it. +

* Billy Reid Barber shared the same birthday, 18th of September, as our Paternal Great Grandfather, Jacob Keller Barber.
