Charles W. Billings, 62, of Memphis, Tennessee died on September 19, 2017. He was born in Memphis on July 17, 1955, to the late Charles Vernon and Estelle McCulley Billings. He leaves an extended family and innumerable friends. Mr. Billings, morning host of National Public Radio's Memphis affiliate WKNO-FM for 13 years, recently retired from Farmington Presbyterian Church, Germantown, Tennessee, where he served for 20 years as Director of Music. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, from 5-7 p.m. at Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Ave Extended, Memphis. His funeral will be Wednesday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 102 N. Second Street, Memphis. The service will begin promptly at 10 a.m. with an extended prelude as numerous offerings of musical gifts are shared. He will be laid to rest Wednesday afternoon in Memphis Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery in a private burial. Memorials may be sent to either Calvary Episcopal Church or Farmington Presbyterian Church.
