— We regret to learn that Mrs. Wm. Strong, of Grand Prairie , died this forenoon. She has been ill for nearly three weeks. Kalamazoo Daily Telegraph May 13, 1878 page 4

THE LATE MRS. STRONG.—The following tribute to this most estimable lady is from the pen of Moses Kingsley, who has for years been a near neighbor of the deceased, Mrs. Sarah Strong, of Grand Prairie, the wife of William Strong, died on Monday last, and her funeral was attended on Wednesday by a large circle of sympathizing relatives and friends. Dr. H. N, Burton of Plymouth church officiated. The deceased just removed, in her early womanhood was greatly beloved in the cherished circle in which it was her happiness to move. Her early residence on the prairie, was soon after she became an orphan by the death of both her parents. But she did not long experience the loneliness of her orphanage. Her genial disposition, and loving heart soon found responsive yearnings, from those hearts and home were opened to her, and but a few fleeting years were passed, when she found herself at the head of a family, from which she has so suddenly been separated, leaving the home doubly desolate, the elder maternal head of the same family having been removed by death but a few weeks since. A whole community cordially sympathize with this officiated family in their bereavement. Kalamazoo Daily Telegraph May 18, 1878 page 1
