Evelyn Myrtice Tanner Love, 97, of Macon, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022.  

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Harts Mortuary Chapel, Cherry St. with the Reverend Andy Yates officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the chapel service at 2:30 pm at Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery, 1807 E. McCarty St., Sandersville, Georgia.  

Mrs. Love was born November 29, 1924, in Dublin Georgia, to the late Bessie Pearl Josey Tanner and George Willis Tanner.

Mrs. Love is a former member of Morningside Baptist Church and a current member of Antioch Baptist Church in Dry Branch, Georgia.

She was a nurse's assistant at The Coliseum Medical Center for 40 years. She also loved gardening and was known for the prettiest flowers in Twiggs County. Quilting, crocheting, and needle point were also some of her favorite hobbies.

Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Harley Lee Love; daughter, Linda Ann Love Temple; grandson, Brian Sterling Wilson; and siblings, Curtis Tanner, Christine Dalton, Laverne Beall, Buford Tanner, and Willie Tanner.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Allen Wilson (Angel), and Carlene Hill (David), both of Twiggs County; and numerous nieces and nephews.
