Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Minister Mark Fronduti officiating. The interment will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. Hicks was a US Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Hicks. He is survived by his sons, Melvin Timothy Hicks, Jr., of Wetumpka, Jason Hicks of Wetumpka, Alabama, Bubba Goodwin (Jamie) of Equality, Alabama; loving friend, Debra Matherson of Deatsville, Alabama; cousin, Grady Hicks of Montgomery; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Judes Hospital or Toys for Tots. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home
